Brenda's Education Manifesto

Wordle: Education Manifesto
I will RESPECT the diverse cultures, personal beliefs, and individuality of all my students as well as uphold a MULTICULTURAL classroom environment where mutual respect is always valued, emphasizing on the importance of all cultures through motivated lessons and discussions in class.
I will reach out to my students not only as an educator, but also as a friend; a friendship where TRUST is an earned quality and gift that encourages a positive outlook, through unbiased lenses that see the individuality of each student for whom ENDLESS POTENTIAL is always a possibility.
I will model the ideal student behavior by always maintaining a smile and POSITIVE attitude even when times are tough or situations are out of my control. As a result, positive and respectful attitudes will encourage classroom participation and always allowing for LEARNING MOMENTS throughout the day.
I will conduct ASSESSMENTS through diverse methods such as portfolios, ongoing projects, and presentations. I will follow up on my assessments to better serve the changing needs of  my students, not reteach unnecessary information, and focus on improvement and gaining new knowledge EFFECTIVELY.
I will be compassionate and understanding of my students and their needs; I will ADVOCATE for those in need so that all my students have EQUAL OPPORTUNITIES, for every student has the right to growth, improvement, and participation in society.
I will use my teacher toolbox and resources to continue to IMPROVE my educational methodology, constantly searching for evidence that proves the merit of learning and incorporating the different types of learning to produce clear and VISIBLE LEARNING.
I will ENCOURAGE self-improvement and personal growths by challenging my students to dream, accomplish, and dream again, never doubting their capabilities and always seeking to find happiness through a MEANINGFUL EDUCATION.
I will assume RESPONSIBILITY over my student's success and retainment of knowledge. As a teacher, my principal and grade-level team of teachers can trust that I will uphold my ACCOUNTABILITY to be an effective educator.
I will exhibit good CITIZENSHIP, leadership, and community involvement to best explain and demonstrate to my students their responsibility in our nation’s government from small scale participation to more prominent involvement, all of which hold EQUAL SIGNIFICANCE and are deserving of recognition.
I will allow my students to have CONTROL over THEIR OWN LEARNING by allowing them to be scientists through research, investigation, and hypothesis. As the teacher, I will provide guidance and assistance throughout the process, but I will never hinder their learning and be their only source of knowledge.
I will, above all, constantly ask myself: what IMPACT am I having on each of my students, what am I doing right and wrong, and how can I continue to improve and prepare myself for the next group of students? Every day I must ACKNOWLEDGE that I am a source of impact and therefore, I must always do my best to provide a learning environment of improvement, growth, and success.
